RALEIGH, N.C. - The No. 3 NC State wrestling team will be in action Thursday night, as the Wolfpack hosts #24 Old Dominion at 7 p.m. Since Reynolds Coliseum is closed for renovations this season, the Pack will host ODU at the NC State Fairgrounds in the Holshouser Building. Admission and parking are both free.

NC State continues to climb each week in the national rankings, as the Wolfpack checks in at No. 3 in this week's NWCA/USA Today Coaches Poll. After a 35-3 neutral site win over Grand Canyon last weekend, the Pack moved up two spots from last week.
In addition to the NWCA/USA Today Coaches Poll, the Pack is also No. 3 according to FloWrestling, and No. 4 by both InterMat and WIN Magazine.
The Wolpack is off to a perfect 10-0 start to the 2015-16 campaign, the most consecutive wins to start a season in school history. NC State is also a perfect 4-0 in home duals this season - winning all four by a combined 147-24 in the Wolfpack Duals on Nov. 21.

The featured bout of the night will showcase two of the top-ranked grapplers at 141 pounds. Both Jack and Mecate rank among the top-five in every major poll this week. The two met last year in the 5th/6th place match at the NCAA Tournament. That day, Jack upset the No. 11 seeded Mecate 3-0. The bout did not have any take downs, but Jack scored a second-period escape, and was then awarded a stalling point as he rode Mecate the entire third period to pick up the final point for ride time.
184: #15 Pete Renda vs. #2 Jack Dechow
A second bout between ranked foes is at 184 pounds, both of whom are two-time NCAA qualifiers in each of their first two seasons of collegiate action. Renda has moved up to 184 pounds this season, and is a perfect 7-0 - with six bonus point wins. Last year, Dechow was the MAC Conference Champion at 184 pounds and finished the season 31-3 after he entered the NCAAs as the No. 4 seed coming off an All-American season as a redshirt-freshman.
Last Year vs. Old Dominion
Backed by two pins (133 and 285), NC State came away with a 21-15 win at #17 Old Dominion on Feb. 6. After four bouts the Pack trailed 9-3, but NC State reeled off four straight wins, including those two pins, to clinch the dual with two bouts left.
