NC State Releases 2015-16 Track & Field Schedule

RALEIGH, N.C. – The NC State track and field team has released its 2015-16 indoor and outdoor track schedules, as announced by the track office on Tuesday.
The team will compete in elite meets across the country, as it is slated to visit 12 different states during the indoor and outdoor seasons.
During outdoor season, the team will host two home meets. The Raleigh Relays are slated to run in the second weekend of the outdoor season from March 25-26. One of the largest track meets in the Southeast, last year's competition featured almost 2,500 athletes across 48 events.
On May 6, the Pack will host the NC State Last Chance Meet, which will give athletes another chance to earn conference and regional qualifying marks.
Indoor postseason starts Feb. 25-27 in Boston, Mass., with the ACC Championships. The NCAA Championships will follow, taking place March 11-12 in Birmingham, Ala.
To qualify for the NCAA Indoor Championships, athletes must hold top-16 national marks.
The outdoor season features three postseason competitions. The ACC Championships run May 13-16 in Tallahassee, Fla.
NCAA competition starts with the NCAA East Preliminary in Jacksonville, Fla. from May 26-28.
To qualify for the regional competition, individuals must earn top-48 regional marks.
The top 12 from the regional in each event will advance to the NCAA Championships, which is slated to run June 8-11 in Eugene, Ore.
After NCAA competition, the Pack will look to qualify individuals for the Olympic Trials, which are set for July 1-10.
