Rychcik Recaps Fall Softball Season

RALEIGH, N.C. – The NC State softball team completed its fall season with a perfect 8-0 record. The Wolfpack tallied two wins each against Campbell, Pitt Community College, Longwood and Elon.

Quick Hits from the Fall Season
- NC State scored 65 runs over the course of the eight games, while limiting its opponents to just 10 runs.
- The Wolfpack slugged 16 home runs, led by junior Tyler Ross with five homers and redshirt junior Hanna Sommer, who missed the 2015 season with an injury, smacked three round-trippers.
- Ross also paced the Pack during the fall season with 13 RBI, while sophomore Meredith Burroughs contributed nine.

- NC State pitchers struck out 71 batters in 56 innings pitched, headlined by junior Courtney Mirabella with 33 strikeouts.
- Freshman Brittany Nimmo tallied 20.1 innings pitched, only allowed one earned run and struck out 21. Sophomore Harli Hubbard fanned 17 batters in just 12.2 innings of work.

- Defensively, sophomore Alyssa Compton has made the transition from second base to shortstop to take over for Renada Davis, the program's only four-time All-ACC selection.
