NC State men's soccer travels to Syracuse for the first round of the ACC Tournament, streaming for subscribers on Wednesday at 7 PM.
- The Wolfpack (8-5-3) drew the No. 10 seed to the conference tourney, and will meet the seventh-seeded Orange (10-5-2) for the second time in as many weeks. On October 23, the Pack built a 1-0 lead by the 68th minute before falling 2-1. State trails the all-time series 2-1-1. The winner of Wednesday's match heads to North Carolina for a second round date on Saturday at 1 PM.
- Zach Knudson leads all Wolfpack scorers with 15 points this season on six goals and three assists. Freshman Julius Duchscherer sits three points shy with 12 on five goals and two assists. The Pack's balanced offensive attack has seen additional goals from eight more players, none contributing more than Yanni Hachem's three. In the back, mainstays Reed Norton and Holden Fender will try to clamp down an explosive Syracuse attack. Alex McCauley will mind the net, looking to add to his 40 saves and three shutouts in 2015.
- NC State's RPI currently stands at No. 27 as the Pack looks toward an NCAA Tournament berth. A tournament championship would guarantee a spot in the Field of 48 and represent State's first men's soccer title since 1990.
Live stats for Wednesday's match will be available on GoPack.com. Fans can follow along with Twitter updates via @PackMensSoccer. Streaming is available for subscribers.
