
Track and Field Adds Nine Fall Signees to #Pack16

RALEIGH - The NC State track and field and cross country programs added nine signees to its 2016 recruiting class, as announced by the track office Nov. 23.
The team added six distance runners, two sprinters and a long jumper. Six are from North Carolina, while two are from Ohio and the third out-of-state athlete is from New Jersey.
Elly Henes
The daughter of standout Wolfpack runners Bob and Laurie Henes, Elly joins the Pack and will run under her mother. Elly is a two-time NXN Nationals finalist and she won the 2014 NCHSAA 4A State Cross Country Championship. She also recently finished as runner-up at the same event this year. On the track, Elly holds three state titles and a 10th-place finish in the 3,000m at the 2014 New Balance National Indoors. She has PRs of 4:56.41 in the 1,600m and 10:32.97 in the 3,200m.

Dominique Clairmonte
Clairmont will join the Pack as a distance runner. The Lexington, Ohio, native already has four state championships on the track with two apiece in the 1,600m and 3,200m events. She has PRs of 4:53.08 in the 1,600m and 10:43.69 in the 3,200m. In cross country, Clairmonte won the 2014 state cross country title and also competed at NXN Nationals.

Anna Vess
The Asheville, N.C., native has demonstrated a wide range from the mid-distance events on the track to 5,000m on the cross country course. She has won four state titles on the track including one at 800m, two in the 1600m and one in the 3200m. Vess holds an 800m personal best of 2:14.37, a mile time of 4:59.96 and a time of 10:42.40 in the 3200m. Vess also won two 3A state cross country titles and has a 17:50.47 PR at the 5,000m cross country distance.

Lauren White
White will join the Pack in the fall of 2016 as a horizontal jumps and short sprints specialist. The Rolesville, N.C., native has competed in the long jump at five-straight USATF National JO Outdoor Track and Field Championships. She holds a long jump personal best of 18'11.75. White is also an elite sprinter and has several appearances at national track meets. She holds PRs of 11.91 in the 100m and 24.56 in the 200m.

Joe Bistritz
Bistritz is a two-time OHSAA Ohio State Cross Country Champion with a 5,000m cross country PR of 15:09. The Chargin Falls, Ohio, native has won the state meet the past two years, and finished as the runner up in 2013. On the track, Bistritz, who concentrates on the middle distance events, and holds PRs of 1:55.68 in the 800m and 4:13.24 in the 1,600m.

Kenny Kneisel
Kneisel, a Mount Tabor product, will join the Wolfpack distance program in the fall of 2016. The Winston-Salem, N.C., native has personal bests of 4:15.96 in the 1600m and 9:08.29 in the 3200m. He recently helped Mount Tabor to the NCHSAA 4A cross country title.

Dylan Peebles
Peebles is another Wolfpack commit to follow in his parent's footsteps. His father, Danny Peebles was a two-sport star and a nine-time track All-American. Dylan is a long sprinter with PRs of 21.30 in the 200m and 48.63 in the 400m. The Raleigh, N.C., native is the 2015 indoor state champion in the 300m, and a two-time finalist in the 200m at New Balance Nationals.

Cravont Charleston
Charleston will be part of NC State's sprint squad. The Charlotte, N.C., native is a short sprint specialist with a 100m PR of 10.47. In 2015, Charleston finished fourth in the 100m at New Balance Nationals. He also competed in the elite adidas Grand Prix Dream 100m in 2015.

Tim Bason
Bason is the Pack's third out-of-state commit in the signing period. The Princeton Junction, N.J., native, holds PRs of 4:12.23 in the 1600m and 9:13.37 in the 3200m. Bason ranks among the top cross country runners in New Jersey and the northeast part of the country.
