RALEIGH – Off to its fifth straight 3-0 start to a season, the NC State women's basketball team plays away from home for the first time Friday evening at Liberty. Tipoff between the Wolfpack and 2015 Big South champion Lady Flames is set for 7 p.m. from the Vines Center in Lynchburg, Va. The game will be broadcast live on ESPN3.

NC STATE - LIBERTY SERIES HISTORY
-Friday's game marks the third meeting between NC State and Liberty.
-NC State holds a 2-0 lead in the series with both wins coming in Raleigh.
-The teams last met on Dec. 17 of the 2014-15 season. NC State defeated Liberty 67-64 on Carlee Schuhmacher's three-point play with five seconds remaining.

SCOUTING THE LADY FLAMES
-Liberty enters Friday's game the owner of a 2-0 record.
-The Lady Flames return three starters from a 2014-15 team which posted a 26-7 record, won 19 games in Big South play, won the Big South Tournament title, and nearly beat UNC-Chapel Hill in the first round of the NCAA Tournament.
-Liberty has won 13 straight games at home dating back to last season. Under current head coach Carey Green, the Lady Flames are 187-28 (.869) at home.

LAST GAME
The Wolfpack picked up its third straight win on Tuesday evening at PNC Arena, defeating visiting Radford by a final score of 67-52. Three Wolfpack players scored in double figures and NC State shot 11-25 (.440) from distance. Junior Miah Spencer was one assist away from a double-double (12 points, nine assists).

TOUGH STRETCH
Three of NC State's next four opponents won at least 18 games last season. The Wolfpack has games against Liberty (26 wins), Davidson (5), Seton Hall (28), and UAB (18) on the calendar in the near future.

NC State has achieved the greatest scoring disparity in the first and third quarters of games this season. The Wolfpack is +32 (65-33) in the first quarter and +19 (59-40) in the third quarter.
