RALEIGH – Following a season-opening 70-64 win over Villanova, the NC State women's basketball team (1-0) returns to action at home on Sunday afternoon against High Point. Tipoff between the Wolfpack and Panthers is set for 2 p.m. at Broughton High School's Holliday Gymnasium.

-Sunday's game marks the sixth all-time meeting between NC State and High Point. The Wolfpack holds a 5-0 advantage in the series.
-Four of the five prior meetings between the teams have been played in Raleigh. The other game was played in Chapel Hill.
-The teams last met on November 21 of the 2014-15 season. NC State earned a 66-62 win at Reynolds Coliseum.

NC State earned a 70-64 win over a strong Villanova team on November 13 inside PNC Arena. The Wolfpack blitzed out to a 19-point lead early in the second half and withstood a furious, game-tying comeback from the Wildcats to hold on for the win. Dominique Wilson led the Wolfpack with 21 points and junior Jennifer Mathurin recorded her fifth career double-double in the victory.

STRONG EFFORT FROM DISTANCE
NC State shot .450 (9-20) from three-point range in the win over Villanova. Ashley Williams, in her first career start, led the team with a 4-6 success rate from beyond the arc.

CAREER DEBUTS
Two Wolfpack freshmen made their career debuts against Villanova. Kaila Ealey (14 minutes, one point) and Amber Richardson (10 minutes, two points) both came off the bench in the victory.
