Freshman (2015-16): Played in 25 games, averaging 2.2 points, 1.6 rebounds, and 10.6 minutes per game … Made her career debut in the season-opening win against Villanova on November 13 … Scored a season-high 11 points in the win over Davidson on November 22 … Played a season-high 24 minutes in the game at (RV) Nebraska on December 3 … Pulled down a season-high five rebounds in the win over Western Carolina on December 16.
Prior to NC State: In 2015, she was named a McDonald's High School All-American nominee and earned a spot on the All-Greater Neuse River Conference First Team as her high school team went 26-4 en route to becoming a state runner up ... A four-star standout who earned a scout's grade of 95 from ESPNW ... Ranked as the ninth best wing player in the class of 2015 and the 72nd overall ... In 2014, earned a spot on the News & Observer's All-Metro Team while leading her team to a conference championship ... Also named Greter Neuse River Player of the Year and earned a place on the league's all-conference team in 2014.
Coach Moore's Take: "She has great potential. She is a strong, athletic guard with good size who can shoot the three as well as take it to the basket. Amber also has the potential to be a factor on the offensive boards. She comes from an outstanding high school program (Southeast Raleigh) which reached the state finals."
