Norenius Advances at ITA All-America Championships

Norienus defeated Georgia Tech’s Nathan Rakitt in straight sets
TULSA, Okla. – Simon Norenius won his first match in the qualifying round of the ITA All-America Championships. The senior defeated Georgia Tech's Nathan Rakitt, 6-3, 6-3.
After a third-place finish in his bracket at the Duke James Bonk Invite, the Swede has picked up his fifth win on the early season. He is the 13th seed in his draw.
On Tuesday, Norenius will continue qualifying play against Maxime Hinnisdaels of Auburn. Hinnisdaels defeated Tulsa's Dylan McCloskey and was the winner in Norenius' bracket at the Duke Invite. The two did not face off against each other in Cary, N.C.
In action at the Futures of Mansfield, Horton fell in the final qualifying match before the main draw to Jonathan Chang.
