RALEIGH, N.C.- Junior Joanna Nalborska is ranked 66th in the Division I ITA Women's Singles Rankings, released by the Intercollegiate Tennis Association.
This marks the first time the Louisiana Tech transfer has been listed among the national polls in her collegiate career.
She is also ranked 12th in the ITA Division I Women's Carolina Region Rankings, which marks the highest regional ranking in her collegiate career. Nalborska was ranked 15th in the Southern Region Rankings in her sophomore season (2013-14) with the Lady Techsters.
A native of Warsaw, Poland, Nalborska had a strong fall season with the Wolfpack, compiling a 7-5 overall singles record which includes a win against 29th-ranked Texas A&M's Saska Gavrilovska.
She accumulated a 6-4 doubles record with sophomore Natalia Janowicz, which included wins over Duke and UNC-Chapel Hill doubles opponents at the ITA Carolinas Regional Tournament back in October, 2014.
The Wolfpack will open the 2015 portion of its season when it hosts Western Carolina and East Carolina in a double header on Jan. 31. The first dual match is slated to begin at 10 a.m. inside the J.W. Isenhour Tennis Center.
