2014 Fall Schedule
RALEIGH, N.C. - NC State men's tennis head coach Jon Choboy announced the fall schedule for the 2014-15 season Tuesday afternoon, as the Wolfpack will compete in six tournaments.
"I am really excited to get the season started," Choboy said. "Our guys have been working hard throughout the summer and we've put together a challenging fall schedule."
The Pack will open its fall slate at the Duke Fab Four Invitational Sept. 12-14, which will be held at the Cary Tennis Park in Cary, N.C., before traveling to the Illini Invite in Chicago, Ill., Sept. 19-21.
The squad will open the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) portion of its schedule in Tulsa, Okla., at the ITA All-American Championships from Sept. 27-Oct. 5. Last season, Austin Powell defeated three ranked opponents throughout the week to advance to the Round of 16.
State will make a return trip to Cary, N.C., Oct. 16-20 for ITA Carolina Regionals. The program will conclude the ITA portion of its fall schedule at the ITA National Indoor Championships in Flushing Meadows, N.Y., Nov. 6-9
In addition, the Wolfpack will play at the Wake Forest Invite Oct. 10-12 in Winston Salem, N.C.
NC State returns eight members of last year's squad that advanced to the second round of the NCAA Men's Tennis Championships.
