
Page Remains Among Top 10 at ACC Championship

NEW LONDON, N.C. – Led by a strong performance for the second day in a row from sophomore Carter Page, the NC State men’s golf team completed the second day of play at the 2014 Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC) Championship on Saturday.
Page followed his one-under-par score of 71 from Friday with an even-par score of 72 on Saturday to sit tied for ninth (-1) through 36 holes at the Old North State Country Club.
After shooting a 293 (+5) on Friday, the Wolfpack carded a team score of 296 (+8) on Saturday to sit ninth at the competition. State remains ahead of Boston College, Maryland, and 2013 champion Duke. No. 5 Georgia Tech is in first place with a two-round score of 566 (-10) while No. 19 Florida State sits second with a 568 (-8).
Logan Harrell ranks second for the Pack following two days of action, as he shaved three strokes from his Friday score to shoot a 72 (E) on Saturday. Harrell is tied for 29th place in the field of 60 golfers with a two-round score of 147 (+3).
Ranking third for State is David Cooke (T35). Cooke also dropped three strokes from his Friday round and is at 149 strokes (+5) through two days of action.
Jacob McBride and James Chapman round things out for State, as each is currently tied for 57th place. Each of the two is currently +10 with a score of 154.
Sunday’s final round will begin at 8:30 a.m. Wolfpack golfers will first take to the tees at 9:30.
