RALEIGH, N.C. - Freshman Ryan Newman of the NC State men's tennis team recently took time out of his busy schedule to sit down with GoPack.com and talk about his first season with the Wolfpack and adjusting to life in college.
A native of Winston-Salem, N.C., Newman finished the fall season with a record of 5-2.
GoPack.com: How does the team get along off the court?
Ryan Newman: "The team's chemistry off the court is fantastic. We all go places together and hang out together quite a bit."
GoPack.com: What schools did you consider besides NC State?
RM: "In addition to NC State, I was also considering University of Miami, Florida State, UNC Wilmington and Wake Forest."
GoPack.com: Who is your favorite actor?
RM: "My favorite actor is Adam Sandler. I thought he was great in Happy Gilmore and I enjoy comedies."
GoPack.com: Who is your favorite band?
RM: "I would have to say Lil' Wayne. He gets me pretty pumped up before I start playing tennis."
