RALEIGH – Winner of its last three games, the NC State women’s basketball team (8-3) plays its final home game of the 2014 calendar year on Friday evening against Davidson. Tip-off between the Wolfpack and Wildcats is set for 7 p.m. from Reynolds Coliseum.

SPENCER’S SCORING
Sophomore guard Miah Spencer is approaching a scoring milestone in her second season at NC State. The Georgia native has scored in double figures 21 times in her 44 career appear¬ances and is sitting at 416 career points. Spencer has upped her scoring average from 8.3 points per game last season to 13.0 points per outing this year. Upon reaching 500 career points Spencer will be the third active Wolfpacker on the roster to have achieved this mark (Barrett and Brown-Hoskin).
TAKE CARE OF THE BALL
NC State committed a season-low 10 turnovers in the win over Liberty on Dec. 17. The Wolfpack has turned the ball over 166 times this season compared to 214 by its opponents. Senior captain Krystal Barrett has been the most judicious Wolfpacker with the ball this season, averaging a 2.9 assist-to-turnover ratio with 26 assists against just nine turnovers.
MADE MORE THAN OPPONENTS HAVE ATTEMPTED
Through 11 games, NC State has made more free throws (185) than its opponents have attempted (174). The Pack has shown restraint in committing 22 fewer fouls than its opponents.
PUTTING THE FUN IN FUNDAMENTALS
As of games played Dec. 17, NC State boasts the third highest free throw shooting percentage in the entire NCAA. NC State has hit 185 of 235 (.787) free throws this season.
SERIES HISTORY
-Friday’s game will mark the sixth all-time meeting between NC State and Davidson.
-The Wolfpack holds a 4-1 advantage in the series and has won four straight.
-NC State is 3-0 against Davidson in Raleigh.
-In the last meeting, NC State earned an 86-63 win over Davidson in Raleigh on Nov. 26, 2013.
