Cross Country to Host Three Stripe Invitational

RALEIGH, N.C.- The NC State men’s and women’s cross country teams will host the annual Three Stripe Red-Shirt Invitational Saturday, Nov. 8 at the Wake Med Cross Country Course in Cary, N.C.
The men’s 5k race will start at 11 a.m., followed by the women’s 5k race at 11:30 a.m.
Last year, the men’s team finished second while the women finished third. Other teams competing in this year’s annual event are: Elon, Duke, Appalachian State, UNC-Charlotte, East Carolina, Gardner-Webb, High Point and UNC- Chapel Hill.
14 runners will represent the Wolfpack at its local course, while State’s other runners begin their preparation for the 2014 NCAA Southeast Regional in Louisville, Ky., on Nov. 14.
