Wolfpack Hosts Coppin State Sunday Afternoon

RALEIGH – The NC State women’s basketball team (1-0) gets right back into action on Sunday afternoon, hosting the Coppin State Eagles inside Reynolds Coliseum at 2 p.m.

LAST TIME OUT
NC State earned a dominating victory over Tennessee State in its season opener on Friday, defeating the Lady Tigers by a final count of 84-55. Four Wolfpackers scored in double figures in the win, with redshirt sophomore transfer Dominique Wilson leading all scorers with a career-high 20 points.

CAREER DEBUT
Redshirt sophomore transfer Dominique Wilson had a huge day in her Wolfpack career debut against Tennessee State, scoring a career-high 20 points to lead all scorers. Wilson went a perfect 9-9 from the free throw line and also recorded four steals and three rebounds.

In addition to Wilson (20 points) and junior transfer Carlee Schuhmacher (2 points) opening their Wolfpack scoring accounts in the season opener, freshmen Chelsea Nelson (8) and Chloe Jackson (5) also scored their first points for the Pack.
WHAT A HALF
NC State had an incredibly accurate first half in the win over Tennessee State, shooting 56 percent (14-25) from the field. The Pack would end the day with a solid shooting percentage of 44.8 (26-58).
