Sophomore Dominique Wilson led the way with a career-high 20 points on 5-10 shooting and recorded a perfect percentage from the free throw line (9-9). Three more Wolfpackers scored in double digits, as Miah Spencer (14 points), Jennifer Mathurin (13 points - career high), and Ashley Williams (10 points) also had strong offensive evenings.
Freshman Chelsea Nelson also had a strong outing, scoring eight points on 4-6 shooting and collecting 10 rebounds.
As a team, NC State (1-0) shot 26-58 (44.8 percent) while the Tigers shot 19-58 (32.8 percent). The Wolfpack recorded 17 steals on the night while forcing 21 Tennessee State turnovers.

State dominated for large stretches of the second half, extending its lead as far as 32 points (80-48) when Williams sank four straight free throws. Though she only played seven minutes, the sophomore scored 10 points throughout the evening.
The Wolfpack will return to action when it hosts Coppin State on Sunday, Nov. 16. Tipoff is set for 2 p.m. inside Reynolds Coliseum.
