RALEIGH, N.C.- The NC State women’s tennis team will compete in its second tournament of the fall season when it travels to Winston-Salem for the Wake Forest Invitational Oct. 3-5.
Earnshaw’s Input
“One of the goals for the team is to get as many competitive matches as possible for each of the players and the Wake Forest Invitational is a great opportunity in that regard. Since the last tournament we've been working hard to impress that every player needs to compete in every situation no matter whether it's a drill or situational points play in practice. That way competition is natural- we'll be more at ease under pressure and able to perform at a higher level in matches.”-Simon Earnshaw, head coach
Weekend Competition
-NC State will send four members of its squad to Winston-Salem this weekend. Upperclassmen Elisha Hande and Taylor Zaytoun along with freshmen Tayla Stenta and Ashleigh Capannolo will represent the Wolfpack.
-NC State is one of 17 teams to compete in the Wake Forest Invitational.
First Day Schedule of Play
Tournament play will begin at 9 a.m. Friday with two rounds of doubles play, followed by one round of singles.
