Choi wins Wolfpack Spring Open; NC State Finishes Second

Final Results
RALEIGH, N.C. - Albin Choi birdied the final hole to win the Wolfpack Spring Open with a final-round 6-under 66 on Sunday at Lonnie Poole Golf Club. The Wolfpack finished second at +1, two shots behind Duke.
Choi wins his ninth collegiate tournament, and fifth of the season for The Ben Hogan Award semifinalist. His 7-under 137 winning score was one better than Duke's Brinson Paolini, who also birdied No. 18 to tie Choi for the lead at -6. However, Choi ran his 12-footer in for the victory.
Duke won at 1-under 575, followed by NC State at 577, and Clemson came in third at 582. The Tigers Miller Capps, who played in the final group with Choi and Paolini, finished third at 4-under 140.
Choi led the field in par-4 scoring at -2, while Paolini led par-3 scoring at -3 and in birdies with 12. Capps had 10 birdies, and Choi had nine.
Senior Mitch Sutton tied for eighth at 1-over 145, while Bill Herring tied for 12th at 146.
Playing as an individual, Wilson Day fired an even-par 72 to record the Wolfpack's second best round of the day.
Next up is the ACC Men's Championship this Friday to Sunday at Old North State Club in New London, N.C.
