Kastanek Named Kennett Award Winner

RALEIGH, N.C. - Marissa Kastanek of the NC State women's basketball team took home the HC Kennett Award Monday at the NC State Athletic Department's annual “Wolfie Awards” Monday evening at Reynolds Coliseum.
The gala event, modelled after ESPN’s ESPYs, showcased the best and brightest in Wolfpack Athletics over the past calendar year.
The HC Kennett Award - NC State University’s highest athletic award is given annually to a male and female superior athlete who demonstrate the finest attributes of good sportsmanship and team play.
Kastanek earned first-team All-ACC honors and was also a two-time Academic All-American. On the court, she finished her career in the top 10 in NC State history in career scoring with over 1,650 points.
She also ranks among the top three-pointers shooters in ACC history with 240 makes from downtown in her career.
She also ranks in the top five in program history in free throw percentage, three-pointers made and three-point percentage.
