Final Results
DADE CITY, FLA. - NC State won the USF Invitational on Tuesday at Lake Jovita Golf and Country Club. Junior All-American Albin Choi won his third-straight individual title with an 8-under 208 finish.
The Wolfpack shot a final-round 5-over 293 on Tuesday to hold off South Carolina for a one-shot victory at 4-under 860. Florida State finished third at -1 (863).
Choi shot an even-par 72 to earn a three-shot victory over a group of three golfers. The victory is the fourth of the season in seven events, and the eighth of his career.
The 12th-ranked Amateur in the world posted three birdies, including two on the back nine. Choi was -9 on the back nine this week with 10 birdies and only one blemish, a double bogey at the par-4 15th on Tuesday.
Logan Harrell finished ninth at 1-over 215, while freshman Carter Page fired a second-straight 2-under 70 to place tied for 10th at even-par 216. Page highlighted his round today with an eagle at the par-5 ninth hole.
Mitch Sutton placed 24th at 5-over 221. He shot a final round 4-over 76.
Redshirt sophomore James Chapman finished tied for 52nd at 13-over 229.
NC State returns to action March 11-12 at the Cleveland Golf Palmetto Intercollegiate in Aiken, S.C.
