ATLANTA – NC State head women's basketball coach Kellie Harper was elected to The Women’s Basketball Coaches Association (WBCA) board of directors for the 2012-13 academic year.
Harper, who will begin her fourth season at State in 2012-13, will represent NCAA Division I East coaches.
"I'm anxious and excited to be a part of the WBCA's Board of Directors," said Harper. "We, as women's basketball coaches have great leadership in our profession. I'm proud to be involved with our association and look forward to advancing our game."
All terms of service begin Aug. 1, or on the date of the board of directors’ summer meeting, whichever comes first.
The WBCA Board of Directors develops policies, procedures and regulations for the operation of the organization. They also monitor the organization's financial health, programs and overall performance and provide the chief executive officer with the resources to meet the needs of those the organization serves.
