Women's Tennis Releases 2011-12 Schedule

RALEIGH, N.C. - The NC State women's tennis team has released its schedule for the upcoming 2012 season, which will include matches against fifteen opponents that made the NCAA team tournament this past year. Nine of the 22 teams that the Pack will face are ranked in the latest Intercollegiate Tennis Association top-25 poll.
The Wolfpack will face tough competition from non-conference foes, including a match against No. 21 Tulsa in the opening round of the ITA Team Indoor Championship.
The ACC has proven itself to be one of the toughest tennis conferences in the nation, sending a conference record tying and national best nine teams to the 64-team NCAA tournament in 2011. NC State will face three teams currently ranked in the top 25, all of whom are members of the ACC: No. 3 Duke, No. 4 North Carolina and No. 7 Miami.
The Pack will look to improve on its success in the 2011 season, which saw the team advance to the NCAA tournament for the fourth time in six years. NC State finished the season ranked 25th by the ITA.
