Eight Named to ACC Academic Honor Roll

GREENSBORO, N.C. – A program-record eight NC State women’s basketball players were named to the Atlantic Coast Conference Academic Honor Roll for the 2010-11 season.
That figure ranks second in the 12-team ACC.
Kody Burke, Kim Durham, Hanna Halteman, Marissa Kastanek, Brittany Strachan, Emili Tasler, Amber White and Paige Woodard each registered a grade point average of 3.00 or better last school year.
Halteman, Strachan and Tasler landed on the league's honor roll for the fourth-consecutive season. The first two graduated in May, while Tasler will play her red-shirt senior season beginning this fall.
Durham is listed for the third time, while Kastanek and White found themselves on the list for the second time.
Burke and Woodard both completed their first season on the Wolfpack women's team in 2010-11, thus its the first citation for each player.
The previous program record was set back in 1997 and 2009.
The Wolfpack women have now been recognized 107 times on the honor roll dating back to 1983.
