GREENSBORO, N.C. - NC State junior forward Bonae Holston was named second team All-ACC and sophomore guard Marissa Kastanek earned honorable mention plaudits, as released by the league on Tuesday.
Holston, from Newport News, Va., ranks fifth in the conference in both scoring (15.9) and rebounding (8.2), and is one of only two players to rank in the top five in both categories. She ranks third in offensive rebounds (3.4) and 10th in field goal percentage (49.2).
She has been incredibly consistent in her third season with the Wolfpack, having scored in double figures in 26 of 29 games, including 25 straight - the longest streak at NC State in 12 years. Holston has notched 20 or more points in nine games, and scored a career-high 30 against Florida State on Jan. 30.
Holston's nine double-doubles rank among the ACC's top five in 2010-11. She became the 27th member of the NC State 1,000-point club earlier this season, and currently sits 22nd on the career scoring list with 1,159 points.
Holston was named to the All-ACC honorable mention team as a sophomore, was the league's Sixth Player of the Year as a freshman and earned a spot on the all-freshman team in 2008-09.

Tip time is scheduled for 6 p.m. The two teams split the season series with both teams winning on their respective home courts, including a Wolfpack win in Raleigh last Thursday.
