NC State Greek organizations will be hanging banners from the upper level of Reynolds Coliseum. The players will vote on the best banner, to be announced in the second half. The winner receives a free HDTV.
Other festivities include a Greek wing eating competition before the game, sponsored by East Village.
Also, the first 200 students at the game will receive free pizza from Dominos. Pizza distribution begins at 6:15 p.m.
And finally members of the basketball team will be signing autographs in the north endzone following the game.
Myisha Goodwin-Coleman was named ACC Rookie of the Week on Monday after averaging 15.0 points and 5.0 assists over two games last week. Goodwin-Coleman and Kody Burke make NC State the only team in the league to have two different players named rookie of the week so far in 2010-11. The last time NC State had multiple winners was in 1999-00 when Kaayla Chones, Terah James and Amy Simpson all earned it in the same season.
Bonae Holston is seven points shy of moving past Ashley Key (2004-07) and into 24th place on the school's all-time scoring chart. The junior ranks sixth in the league with 15.9 points per game, while her 8.1 rebounds is good for third overall and her 3.5 offensive rebounds a game is tied for the lead.
Freshmen are making waves among the ACC leaders. Kody Burke's 39 blocks and 1.8 per game average is second in the conference, while Goodwin-Coleman leads all first-year players in assists (3.4) and assist/turnover ratio (1.4).
NC State travels to Georgia Tech on Sunday for a 5 p.m., contest that will be televised on ESPN2.
