Hendren Posts Top-10 School Mark at ACC's

ATLANTA, Ga. - The NC State women's swimming and diving team continued action at the ACC Championships on Thursday, Feb. 17, posting three of the fastest swims on the team for the year, recording two top-10 all-time marks and hitting one NCAA "B" cut qualifying standard.
Allison Hendren's 23.47 in the 50 freestyle is the fourth best mark in school history, and the top time on the team this season. Morgan Robertson followed behind with a 23.69, second on the team this year. Meghan Thompson (24.19), Zina Grogg (24.24), Bailey Woodling (24.34), Ashley Richter (24.68) and Kaitlin Mills (25.02) also saw action.
Marifrances Henley hit an NCAA "B" cut and recorded the best 500 freestyle time on the season with a 4:48.83, while Maggie McEnerney added a 5:05.23 and Jordan Paavola posted a 5:08.09.
Julianna Prim, Hendren, Robertson and Henley's 200-freestyle relay time of 1:33.01 is the third fastest ever and quickest this year.
Jennifer Kopenitz (2:04.11) and Kelsey Liu (2:08.12) took part in the 200 individual medley, while Kirstyn Shepler (261.30) and Hannah Hopkins (251.30) competed on the 1-meter dive.
The Wolfpack finished the day tied with Clemson for eighth place with 73 total points.
Action will continue at the ACC Championships tomorrow, Friday, Feb. 18.
