Henken Wins 3,000-Meter Race

BOSTON - NC State senior Adam Henken won the 3,000-meter run with a time of 8:07.33 in Saturday's final day of action at Boston University's Valentine's Invitational.
Henken, a transfer from Kentucky, was running in his first event with the Wolfpack. Teammate Patrick Campbell was 12th in the same event.
Also competing in Boston, the NC State women's distance medley relay team of Erin Mercer, Tiayonna Blackmon, Kenyetta Iyevbele and Lillian Greibesland was second with a time of 11:38.18.
In Friday's first day of action, freshmen Greibesland and Iyevbele were 10th and 12th, respectively, in the mile run. Greibesland finished with a career best time of 4:51.85, while Iyevbele posted a time of 4:54.54.
Blackmon was 15th in the 800-meter run with a time of 2:13.89.
Andie Cozarrelli was seventh in the 3,000 meters with a time of 9:30.58. Teammate Kara McKenna was 15th with a time of 9:44.55.
