NC State Continues Play at Kitty Harrison

CHAPEL HILL, N.C. – NC State picked up five wins in singles action on the second day of the Kitty Harrison Invitational. Play will continue through Sunday in Chapel Hill, N.C.
The Pack played singles matches on an outdoor court against Princeton University. Sophomore Christy Sipes, playing in the No. 2 position for the Pack, defeated Lindsay Graff, 3-6, 7-5, 1-0 (6). Freshman Elisha Hande played in the third spot for NC State, and topped Katie Goepel 6-3, 6-4.
Senior Ashley Miller defeated Monica Chow 7-5, 6-4, in the fourth position. Junior Chloe Smith beat Joan Cannon 6-1, 6-3 in the No. 5 spot, and Freshman Sophie Nelson topped Caitlin Bartlett 2-6, 7-5 1-0 (2) in the sixth position.
The Kitty Harrison Invitational will mark the final fall tournament for the Pack. NC State will resume play at home on Jan. 21 with matches against Davidson and Winthrop.
