RALEIGH, N.C. - Coming off an easy opening game victory last Friday, the NC State women's basketball team is back to action Wednesday against UNC Wilmington. Tip off is at 7 p.m., from Reynolds Coliseum.
State leads the all-time series 3-0 with the Seahawks. Wednesday will be the first meeting in nearly five years to the day that the two teams battled on Nov. 17, 2006 at RBC Center. That still stands as the last regular-season game the Wolfpack has played in that building.
Later that same season State won two NCAA Tournament games on its way to the Sweet 16.
UNCW lost both its games at the Lady Lion Classic last weekend at Penn State. Alisha Andrews tops the club in scoring at 11.0 points per game.
