State Inks Two in Early Signing Period
RALEIGH, N.C. - The much anticipated NC State women's basketball season has finally arrived and will begin with a noon tip on Friday against Southeast Missouri State at Reynolds Coliseum. The Wolfpack is also proud to celebrate Veteran's Day with its fans during this afternoon contest.
Four returning starters, led by All-ACC standouts Bonae Holston and Marissa Kastanek, and four newcomers to the rotation are ready to rebound from a disappointing 2010-11 campaign that saw just the sixth losing season in the 37-year history of the program.
State looks to open the season 1-0 for a ninth-consecutive year, and improve on its 33-4 record all-time in season openers.
The club got the season going last Sunday in a 79-41 exhibition victory over North Greenville at Reynolds Coliseum. The freshmen duo of Krystal Barrett and Kiana Evans paced NC State with a combined 24 points.
Sophomore Kody Burke tossed in 13 points to aid to the win.

• Team has won 51 of the last 57 non-conference home games
