RALEIGH, N.C. - All month long leading up to the annual Hoops 4 Hope breast cancer awareness event on Sunday, Jan. 30, NC State is helping raise money for the Kay Yow Cancer Fund.
NC State is collecting coins during the month of January at all home women's basketball games, culminating at the end of the month celebration against Florida State on Jan. 30.
The next two home games include Wake Forest on Monday, Jan. 10 at 7 p.m., and Duke on Sunday, Jan. 23 at 5 p.m.
The donation "buckets" will be positioned at concession stands, and in the front lobby where fans can purchase H4H tickets.
In addition, Wolfpack cheerleaders will be walking the Reynolds Coliseum aisles with buckets following the second timeout of the first half.
Meanwhile, along with the Coins 4 Kay initiative, NC State is also running a Text 4 Kay promotion. Fans can text "4Kay Pack" to 85944 and a $10 contribution will be made to the Kay Yow Cancer Fund.
Hoops 4 Hope tickets are on sale now, and can be purchased at GoPack.com or by calling 919-865-1510. Adult tickets are $10 and youth under 17 are $5, with $5 of each ticket benefitting the cancer fund.
