RALEIGH, N.C. -
NC State’s 2011 men’s tennis signing class is ranked No. 13 nationally by the Tennis Recruiting Network. The ranking stands as the best in the history of the Wolfpack program, and is the second-best among all ACC schools.
Beck Bond, Robbie Mudge and Austin Powell all inked with the Wolfpack program in November.
“It’s very nice to be recognized nationally for our recruiting class, but even without the ranking we could not be happier about this group,” said head coach Jon Choboy. “These young men are exactly the type of students in the classroom and competitors on the court that we wanted to land. They will compliment the team we have been putting together over the last several years, and they will help us continue to move forward as a program.”
TennisRecruiting.net previously pegged Mudge as blue-chip recruit, while labeling Powell a five-star and Bond a four-star.
All three will join the program as true freshmen for the 2011-12 season.
