RALEIGH, N.C. - NC State men's tennis has two players ranked in the top-100 in the recently released ITA Preseason Rankings. Jaime Pulgar stands at 44th nationally, while Dominic Hodgson is slotted 98th.
"We are happy that Jaime and Dominic are both ranked in the preseason, especially when you consider that these rankings are based off of their performances from last season," said head coach Jon Choboy. "We've only had two guys ranked at the same time a handful of times over the past few years, so it's exciting.
"This is only a starting point, not only for Jaime and Dominic, but for our entire team," said Choboy. "We are going to have to continue to work hard, set goals and work to achieve them. This is a testament to the hard work that these two young men have already put in."
Pulgar, a junior out of Madrid, Spain, earned All-ACC hardware last season and posted a 14-9 singles record playing at No. 1 for the Pack. He kept plenty busy this summer on the Futures circuit in his native Spain, competing in several tournaments against top-flight competition.

Hodgson, a junior hailing from London, went 15-10 last year, including 11 wins at No. 2 with four coming in conference play.
NC State men's tennis will continue its fall season this weekend, Sept. 17-19, at the Nike Fab Four hosted by Duke in Cary, N.C.
