No. 26 W. Tennis Sweeps Richmond 7-0

Raleigh, N.C. - The No. 26 NC State women's tennis team didn't show any sign of a let down in a 7-0 sweep over Richmond on Wednesday, March 24.
In doubles play the Pack prevailed in all three matches. The No. 42 tandem of Berkeley Brock and Sandhya Nagaraj beat Erin Clark and Helen Cunningham 8-6. Lenka Hojckova and Daria Petrovic took down Kelly Tidwell and Isabel Arana 8-6 to clinch the point. Diana Mortlock paired with Chloe Smith and defeated Sydney Grand and Alexandra Smyth 8-5.
In singles the Wolfpack came out rolling. Petrovic got the first win of the day with a 6-2, 6-1 victory against Grant. Smith was right behind her, defeating I. Arana 6-2, 6-0. Brock won in straight sets 6-4, 6-0 over Cunningham to give the Pack the win.
Mortlock made things look easy beating Smyth 6-2, 6-1. Hojckova took down Tidwell 6-4, 6-2. Nagaraj finished the day with a 6-4, 7-5 win against Clark.
The Wolfpack moves to 9-4 on the year. NC State has a tough road this weekend. The Pack travel to South Carolina on Saturday, March 27 to take on No. 9 Clemson at 11:00 a.m. The following day the Pack will be on the road at No. 13 Georgia Tech at noon.
