No. 36 M. Tennis Tops TAMCC 4-1

Houston, Texas - The No. 36 NC State men's tennis team took care of Texas A&M - Corpus Christi 4-1 on a shortened match due to time. After losing the doubles point, the Wolfpack won the first four singles matches to clinch the victory.
The Pack didn't start off great, losing two of three doubles matches. Fernando Banos and Jaime Pulgar got the lone win, beating Duje Janjic and Andrew Maingot, 8-2. Dominic Hodgson and Dave Thomson fell to Alex Pavlov and Robert Raguz 8-4. Rob Lowe and Frideric Prandecki were beaten 8-6 by James Langford and Dmitry Novikov.
In singles, Rafael Paez continued his stellar play by beating Pavlov 6-2, 6-2. No. 94 Pulgar made things look easy with a 6-1, 6-3 win over Novikov. Akash Gujarati upended Maingot 6-2, 7-5. D. Thomson sealed the win for the Pack with a 7-5, 6-4 victory against Raguz.
With the Pack already guaranteed the win, the other two matches were stopped. Hodgson was up 6-2, 5-0 on Langford. Banos was in his third set, losing 6-2, 2-6, 4-1 to Janjic.
The Wolfpack moves to 11-3 on the year. The Pack take on host No. 48 Rice tomorrow at noon.
