The NC State women's basketball team earned the ninth seed in the Kansas City Region and will play No. 8-seed UCLA on Sunday night at 9:30 p.m., EST in Minneapolis, Minn. The game will be televised on ESPN2.
This marks the 21st NCAA bid for the Wolfpack and first since 2007, when the club made a run to the Sweet 16.
Both teams lost in their respective conference tournament championship game. NC State fell 70-60 to top-seed Duke, while UCLA lost 70-46 to No. 1-seed Stanford, the second ranked team in the country.
The Wolfpack enters the NCAA Tournament with a 20-13 record, having won seven of its last nine games. Meanwhile, UCLA is 24-8 and had won 10-straight games before falling to Stanford.
