No. 46 M. Tennis Tops Old Dominion 6-1

Norfolk, Va. - On the road for the first time this spring, the No. 46 NC State men's tennis team defeated Old Dominion 6-1 on Saturday, Feb. 6.
The Wolfpack got the morning started by sweeping the doubles matches. Rob Lowe and Frideric Prandecki took down Tobias Fanselow and Benjamin Chomette, 8-4. Dominic Hodgson teamed with Dave Thomson to beat Yakov Diskin and Krzystof Muzalewski, 8-4. Akash Gujarati paired with Jaime Pulgar for the first time to beat Albert Ochagavia and Alfredo Rodriguez, 8-6.
In singles play Hodgson defeated Chomette in straight sets at the No. 2 spot, 6-1, 6-2. Playing at the No. 3, Lowe won 6-3, 2-6, 6-1 over Diskin. D. Thomson has yet to lose a match in the spring, winning 4-6, 6-2, 6-3 against Muzalewski.
Fernando Banos beat Ochagavia, 7-5, 4-6, 6-3. Gujarati took down Rodriguez, 6-3, 6-2. The lone point for Old Dominion came when Pulgar lost to Fanselow, 6-2, 7-6 (5).
The Wolfpack move to 5-1 on the year. This marks the best start for the Pack since beginning the season 8-0 in 2007.
The Pack's next match is Tuesday, Feb. 9 at 2:30 p.m. at No. 45 South Carolina.
