Olsen Begins Ninth Season: Head coach Hans Olsen came to NC State in 2002 and is entering his ninth season as the Wolfpack’s coach.
Olsen is the longest tenured coach with women’s tennis. He has guided the Pack to an 81-100 record during his time in Raleigh.
Before becoming the Pack’s coach in 2002, Olsen had a successful stop at Charleston Southern. His 133-92 record made him the winningest coach in school history.
Atlantic Coast Conference: NC State is one of seven charter members of the ACC, which was founded on May 8, 1953. The conference has since expanded to 12 members.
The ACC has long had tremendous success in all sports, including men’s tennis. Nine of the 12 men’s tennis programs placed in the final 2009 ITA Collegiate Tennis Rankings, proving that the ACC is the premier conference in the country.
