Weather Forces WBB Game Postponement

RALEIGH, N.C. - The women's basketball game between NC State and Fairfield on Tuesday, Dec. 28, has been postponed and will be rescheduled for a later date.

Fairfield was unable to board its flight on Monday to Raleigh after the Northeast was hammered with a major storm that has dropped more than two feet of snow in some areas.

A new game date will be announced as soon as Fairfield can find a flight out from under the blanket of snow that has crippled travel through most major cities in the Northeast.

NC State enters the game having won its last three games, and stands 7-6 on the season. Meanwhile, the Stags own a 7-3 record and have also won their last three games.

Tuesday still sets up to be a busy day for the Wolfpack. The men's basketball team hosts Alabama A&M at 4 p.m., at RBC Center, and the football team takes on West Virginia in the Champs Sports Bowl in Orlando, Fla., at 6:30 p.m. on ESPN.
