RALEIGH, N.C. -
Hey Wolfpack fans!
The fall semester is flying by so fast! I can’t believe it’s already November! We started out the year with individual practices and then about mid-September, we finally got to practice as a team. As some may know, in October we played in West Virginia against Marshall. We came out on top with two wins! The team played really well together for our first outing. I expect many more victories to come! A few weeks ago, we finished up our team practices for the semester and are now starting our conditioning and weight training to prepare us for the spring. We have all been working really hard throughout the fall and are ready for spring to get here so we can get the season going!
There have also been a few other highlights to the semester as well. A few weeks ago we had our “Athletes with Talent” talent show where all of the various Wolfpack teams had the chance to show their skills at something other than the sport they play. As you might guess, the softball team once again stole the show. We were winners of the talent show for the second year in a row! We performed an act to Britney Spears’ “Like a Circus.” Man was it a sight! We really cut loose and had a good time out there. Also, Saturday Nov. 6, we volunteered with Habitat for Humanity. We helped tear up carpet and wood floors that could be used in constructing new houses later on. We really got a lot accomplished just in the four hours we were there even in the cold and rainy weather! As you can see, we have been really busy so far this semester. I know we are a little late on our blogs, but I am really excited about getting to share all of our good times with you. I hope you all are excited to get on board with us because this year is going to be a fun ride!
