Tia Bell Out Indefinitely After Surgery

RALEIGH, N.C. – Senior forward Tia Bell of the NC State women’s basketball team underwent surgery Monday to repair instability in her left knee.

Bell’s status for the remainder of the 2010-11 campaign is undetermined at this point.

Bell went down with an injury to her left knee in the late stages of the first half of Friday’s season-opening victory over College of Charleston.

This is the same knee that suffered an Anterior Cruciate Ligament (ACL) tear this past January 27 in a game at Virginia in Charlottesville, Va.

She also tore her meniscus in that knee in August.

The Wolfpack takes it 2-0 record down to Alabama (2-0) this week for a Wednesday tilt in Tuscaloosa at 7 p.m.
