Bhambri and Nagaraj Qualify in Doubles, Await Singles

PACIFIC PALISADES, CALIF. - On a rain-shortened Wednesday, NC State's Sandhya Nagaraj and Sanaa Bhambri scored an 8-0 doubles win over SMU's Lesniak/Steinbauer team to move to the main draw of the ITA All-American.
Play was delayed until 3 p.m. on Wednesday, forcing tournament officials to move the conclusion of singles qualifying to Thursday, October 7.
Nagaraj was able to complete her match against Alex Guarachi of Alabama, securing a 6-3, 6-3 victory and moving to the final round of singles qualifying. The Nagaraj/Guarachi match was called in the second set on Tuesday.
Bhambri and Nagaraj each have one match standing between them and a berth in the ITA All-American main draw singles.
The ITA All-American resumes on Thursday, October 7 with the final round of singles qualifying. Results will be posted to GoPack.com at the close of competition, and can be followed at ITATennis.com.
