Men's Tennis Gets Started at All-American

Rob Lowe and Dave Thomson both picked up wins on the first day of the 2010 D'Novo/ITA All-American Tennis Championships in men’s pre-qualifying singles. Thomson and Lowe each received a bye in the opening round, before collecting decisions in the second.
Thomson swept Jared Spiker of Hawai'i at Manoa, 6-0, 6-3, while Lowe came from behind to down Memphis’ David Henry, 6-7(2), 6-4, 6-0.
Thomson will face Illinois State’s Timon Reichelt at 12 noon in third round of play on Sunday, Oct. 3, while Lowe will take on Baylor’s Sergio Ramirez at 10 a.m. Both will play a second singles match if they advance in the third round.
