RBC Center to Host 2012 Women's Regional

INDIANAPOLIS, IND. -

The NCAA Division I Women's Basketball Committee has selected NC State as a host for one of the four regional sites of the 2012 NCAA Division I Women's Basketball Championship.

Those sites have been approved by the Administrative Committee of the NCAA Division I Championships/Sports Management Cabinet.

NC State last hosted a NCAA Women's Basketball Regional during the 2008-09 season, and was also a host for the 2006-07 NCAA first and second rounds, both at the RBC Center.

The following regional sites will host games either Saturday, March 24 and Monday, March 26 or Sunday, March 25 and Tuesday, March 27, 2012.

Wells Fargo Arena - Des Moines, Iowa (University of Northern Iowa)

SaveMart Center - Fresno, Calif. (Fresno State)

The Ryan Center - Kingston, R.I. (University of Rhode Island)
