Men's Tennis Continues at UNCW Invite

A trio of NC State netters continued action at the UNC Wilmington Invitational on Saturday, combining for three singles wins.
Will Rollinson won two bouts, downing Monmouth’s Ian Terpilowski, 6-3, 6-3, before besting UNCW’s Chris Cooprider, 6-4, 6-2. Ivan Sanchez Gomez also topped Illia Ziamtsov of UNCW, 7-5, 6-3, while Julian Sullivan lost to UNCW’s Michael Pereira, 6-4, 6-4.
Rollinson and NC Central’s Christopher Mack received a bye in doubles, then were defeated by Monmouth’s Jason Rothstein and Steve Suboleski, 8-2. Sanchez Gomez and Sullivan fell to UNCW’s Kosta Blank and Ziamtsov in a thriller, 9-8(1), 7-4.
Sunday will serve as the final day of play at the UNC Wilmington Invitational.
