Men's Tennis Begins Play at UNCW Invite

NC State men’s tennis started play at the UNC Wilmington Invitational on Friday, grabbing two singles wins.
Julian Sullivan and Ivan Sanchez Gomez both received first round byes to start the day, with Sullivan then topping UNCW’s Illia Ziamstov, 3-6, 6-2, 6-3. Sanchez Gomez lost to Kosta Blank of UNCW, 6-1, 6-0, while Will Rollinson beat ECU’s Nat Smiley, 6-3, 4-6, 6-4.
Sanchez Gomez and Sullivan received a bye in doubles, while Rollinson and NC Central’s Christopher Mack lost to Anthony Desarno and Jon Silverstein of Monmouth, 8-6.
