Nagaraj Earns Preseason Ranking

Raleigh, N.C. - The Intercollegiate Tennis Association released it's preseason women's tennis rankings on Tuesday, Jan. 5. Representing NC State is sophomore Sandhya Nagaraj, who checks in at No. 45 in the country. This is her first time in the ITA rankings.
During the fall Nagaraj compiled an 11-4 singles record, including a 6-2, 3-6, (10-6) victory over No. 67 Kayla Duncan of TCU in the Kitty Harrison Invitational. In the same tournament Nagaraj defeated No. 72 Lindsey Hardenbergh of Virginia, 2-6, 6-0, (10-8).
Nagaraj also claims wins over Claire Bartlett of Florida, Sasha Kulikova of Wake Forest and Erin Vierra of Virginia.
The Wolfpack women's tennis team will begin spring play at home against East Carolina on Friday, Jan. 29 at 4:00 p.m.
