Men's Tennis Completes First Day of Cliffs Fall Classic

Travelers Rest, S.C. - The NC State men's tennis team completed the first day of the Cliff's Fall Classic yesterday at Travelers Rest, S.C.
In singles competition, sophomore Jaime Pulgar won his first match on the season, defeating Sawyer Duncan of Furman, 6-4, 6-0. In his Wolfpack debut, freshman David Thomson beat Arron May of Florida State, 6-4, 4-6, (11-9).
In double competition, Pulgar and Thom son teamed up against Kevin Galloway and Robert Pietrucha of Clemson, falling short, 9-7. Following that match the duo defeated Will Parker and Luke Mojica of North Carolina, 8-2.
David Chermak and Akash Gujarati also compteted in doubles on the day. In the first match they defeated Mello and Droll of Furman, 8-3. In their second match, Chermak and Gujarati lost to Derek Difazio and Zachary Rigsby of Clemson, 8-5.
Singles competition will continue today.
