NC State is receiving votes in the USA Today ESPN Top-25 preseason women's basketball coaches' poll.
The Wolfpack garnered 11 total votes from the panel of 31 Division I head coaches.
Under the direction of first-year head coach Kellie Harper the Wolfpack will look to bounce back from a 13-17 record that wound up being just the fifth losing season in program history that dates back to 1974.
Harper, the former three-time NCAA champion at Tennessee, has at her disposal a veteran laden team with four seniors and three juniors.
The Wolfpack got off to a nice start to the season on Monday with an 87-44 exhibition victory over North Greenville. FIve players scored in double figures, led by sophomore Bonae Holston's 19 points and 11 rebounds.
All 11 players saw at least 14 minutes of game action.
The season officially gets underway Friday, Nov. 13 against Florida International in the Sheraton Raleigh Wolfpack Invitational. Tip-off is scheduled for around 8 p.m., at Reynolds Coliseum. The first game of the evening will feature Vermont and Western Michigan at 6 p.m.
